Why partners do this

Your customer needs six things. Your company sells one.

If you already sell anything to homeowners — pest control, HVAC, windows, insurance claims, roofs — you walk through houses every week and see work you can't do anything with. A torn lanai screen. A dead water heater. A roof with three good years left. Panels that have to come off before that roof can be replaced. Right now, all of it is worth nothing to you.

UnionGrid does all of it. Introduce the homeowner, and you get paid on whatever they end up buying — whether that's one job or seven.

One house we're working right now

  • Roof replacement
  • Water heater
  • Fence repair
  • Lanai rescreening
  • Gutters
  • Sliding door
  • Solar evaluation

One homeowner, one master contract, seven services. The partner who made the introduction earns on every line.

How the money works

Six ways to earn

Every line below is a real page out of the UnionGrid compensation plan. Nothing here is a bonus, a contest, or a points program — it's the commission on the job.

Solar

Rooftop solar and battery storage.

UnionGrid's cost floor is $2.35 per watt on lease and finance, $2.00 per watt cash. Anything you sell above that floor is commission — 100% of it.

A 10 kW system sold at $2.95/W is $0.60/W of margin — $6,000 commission on one install.

Panel removal & reinstall

Panels come off so a roof can be replaced, then go back on. Roofing companies need this constantly.

UnionGrid charges $200 per panel. You set the price above that and keep the difference — whether you're quoting the homeowner or a roofing company.

42 panels at $275 each against a $200 base is $3,150 in commission.

Roofing

Replacement and repair — shingle, metal, tile, flat.

Commission is a flat rate per square: $60 on shingle and capsheet, $80 on metal, $100 on tile and TPO.

A 30-square shingle roof pays $1,800 in commission. A 30-square tile roof pays $3,000.

Home improvement

Fencing, windows, pavers, concrete, masonry, painting, water heaters, screens, gutters.

10% of the quoted job. These are the jobs nobody thinks to refer — and they're the easiest ones to spot.

A $2,300 water heater job pays $230.

Tree work

Removal, trimming, and storm cleanup.

10% of the job, same as home improvement.

A $4,300 tree job pays $430.

Water softeners

Whole-home water treatment systems.

UnionGrid's floor is $5,000. Everything above it splits 50/50 between you and UnionGrid — and this one pays the Friday after install.

Sold at $7,500, the $2,500 above the floor splits to $1,250.

Commission splits 50/50 between whoever brings the customer and whoever closes the sale. Bring it and let us close, and you take the bringer's half. Learn to close it yourself and you take both.

Run the numbers

What would one job pay you?

Pick a service and put in real numbers. This is the actual formula from the compensation plan, not a marketing estimate.

Service

UnionGrid's floor is $2.35/W on lease and finance. You keep everything above it.

An illustration of the commission formula, not a guarantee of earnings. Paid after the job is installed and the funds are collected.

Total commission on the job

$6,000

You refer it, we close it$3,000

Half the commission — the bringer's share

You refer it and close it$6,000

Both halves

Division of labor

You make the introduction. We do everything else.

You do not need to know how solar works, how to measure a roof, or how to price a job. That's our end.

What you do

  • Find the homeowner — a customer, a neighbor, a relative, a lead you can't use
  • Make the introduction and help set the appointment
  • Sit in on the appointment if you want to learn how it's closed
  • That's it

What UnionGrid does

  • Measure, design, and price the job
  • Pull the permit through our licensed contractor
  • Install with our own crews in Tampa and Orlando
  • Warranty the work and collect the money
  • Pay your commission once the job funds

Pick your level

Three ways to work with us

Just refer

Half the commission

Send us the name and the address. We take the appointment, we close it, we install it. You never have to learn a pitch. Most partners start here and never leave.

Refer and close

The full commission

You already know how to sit with a homeowner. Bring the lead, run the appointment, sign the contract. Both halves are yours.

Learn to close

Start at half, grow into full

Who this is for

You probably already have the customers

The partners producing the most for us right now weren't looking for a job. They had a book of customers and one thing to sell them.

  • Public adjusters
  • Roofing companies
  • HVAC and plumbing techs
  • Pest control reps
  • Window and door reps
  • Realtors and property managers
  • Handymen and general contractors
  • Solar reps at other companies
  • Anyone with a network and some hustle

Getting started

Four steps, and the first one takes two minutes

  1. 1

    Reach out

Call or text us, or send a message through the contact page. Tell us what you sell today and where in Florida you are.

  2. 2

    Learn the product

We send you a short training walkthrough and a quick quiz. It exists so you can decide whether this is for you before anybody spends an hour on a meeting.

  3. 3

    Talk to our sales lead

Fifteen minutes on the phone, then we meet in person. You should know who you're working with, and we should know who's representing us to homeowners.

  4. 4

    Sign and start

Partner agreement and code of conduct, then your first ride-along. Your first referral can happen the same week.

Questions people actually ask

No, and we'd usually rather you didn't. Our best partners keep selling whatever they already sell — the referrals come out of the customers they're already talking to. You're independent, so there's nothing to leave.

Bring us one job and find out

You don't have to commit to anything to have the conversation. Call, text, or send us a message and we'll walk you through the compensation plan line by line.

The fine print, in plain language

Every dollar figure on this page illustrates how the commission formula works. None of it is a promise, projection, or guarantee of earnings. What you actually earn depends on the sale price you negotiate, the size and type of the job, whether you refer only or also close, and whether the job is installed and funded. Partners are independent contractors paid on a 1099 — not employees — and receive no salary, wage, or guaranteed income. There is no cost to participate at any stage. All pricing must be approved by UnionGrid before a contract is signed, and commission is reversed on canceled or unfunded jobs. Participation is subject to UnionGrid's approval and the terms of the signed compensation plan. Additional service lines not shown here are covered during onboarding.
